Property consultancy Vail Williams has scooped a prestigious property award for the fifth time in seven years.

The firm’s Woking-based team has been named Best Commercial Agent/Chartered Surveying Company in the Surrey Property Awards.

A team from Vail Williams accepted the highly coveted honour from author and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth at a glittering ceremony held at Guildford’s G Live arts centre.

Although the awards are predominantly residential, Vail Williams has dominated the commercial category, winning in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and this year. The awards were not held in 2020.

Vail Williams Partner Ashley Bell masterminded the entry but was unable to attend the presentation where Partner Chris Wilmshurst, Senior Planner James Williams, Senior Surveyor Holly Vos, Surveyor Jas Lall and Planning Technician Sam Osborn represented the firm.

Geoff Fallon, Vail Williams Surrey Regional Managing Partner, said: “To win this award once would be wonderful in itself, but to scoop the honour five times is a fantastic achievement.

“It is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Surrey team across all disciplines who provide an outstanding service and always go the extra mile for clients.

“To be judged as the best once again by both our peers in the industry and the public is a tremendous recommendation and demonstrates our continuing commitment to maintaining the highest standards.

“However, we will not be resting on our laurels as we are determined to improve further and attain the greatest levels of achievement as we expand our brand across the region and further afield.”

The Surrey Property Awards celebrate and recognise the best of the best from across the region, providing companies of all sizes with the opportunity to compete on a level playing field.

Organised by Guildford-based events, design and marketing business The Promotional Edge, the independent awards, now in their tenth year, are voted on by the industry and public.

The presentation evening is widely recognised as the largest and most prestigious event of its kind outside London and has raised more than £210,000 for local charities.

Vail Williams has scooped the current commercial property award twice. Wins prior to that were for slightly differently named categories, best surveying and best professional services.
