Savills appoints strategic investment expert to focus on Oxbridge & ESG

Robert Godfrey

Savills is set to welcome back former Director Robert Godfrey to form a strategic investment advisory service for clients predominately active in and based across the Oxford-Cambridge geographies, coordinating with London teams and local offices.

Robert, who was at Savills for 11 years until 2014, has been Head of Property at Oxford University Endowment Management Limited (OUem) for the last seven years. In his new role at Savills he will build on his experience gained at OUem to provide Savills’ existing and growing client base with coordinated and strategic advice.

Robert will also be working with Savills Investment Management LLP with a focus on client servicing and ESG initiatives.

Richard Rees, Managing Director of Savills, says: “We are really pleased to welcome back Robert whose excellent understanding of sectors and our organisation will enable him to collaborate effectively with our evolving working groups across Life Science, Education and Great Estates, together with our Residential and Rural businesses, to service our clients strategically and maximise the significant ESG consultancy service advice we can offer through Savills Earth.”

Robert Godfrey adds: “I am delighted to be returning to Savills who are continuously innovating and broadening the services they offer. Savills has seen success across its working groups and the creation of its exciting Savills Earth initiative. As well as engaging with teams across the business I am looking forward to spending time with the 100 strong Savills Earth team, providing clients with solutions and strategies to evolve, mitigate and adapt to the increasing challenges and opportunities arising from climate change and other factors impacting society and real estate, now and in the future.”
