Aqueous 3 is a safe choice for BSS

British Safety Services (BSS), a leading provider of health and safety training and consultancy services, has relocated to new premises in Aston, Birmingham.

The company has moved to a new 1,306 sq ft office at Aqueous 3 on a five-year lease at a rent of £9 per sq ft.

CBRE’s office agency team in Birmingham advised the landlord, CBRE Global Investors, on the letting, along with joint agent DTZ.

Previously based on Catherine Street, BSS was established in Birmingham in 1991. The company has grown to become a worldwide leader in the field of health and safety training and consultancy, operating from nine offices across the world, including Algeria, China, Dubai, Libya, Qatar and Yemen, as well as representative offices in Kuwait and Pakistan.

Aqueous 3 is a 30,000 sq ft, three-storey office building located just off the A38 Aston Expressway. Previously occupied by Npower, the building has undergone an extensive refurbishment to provide high specification self-contained office suites from 2,000 sq ft to single floor plates of up to 10,000 sq ft. The building also has 107 on-site car parking spaces.

Mr Pat McLoughlin from BSS said: “It was important for us to stay in Aston as the location provides a number of benefits for the business, not least the easy access to transport links and the close proximity to the city centre. Aqueous 3 not only provides this but also the advantage of having our own self-contained office with our own front door.

“BSS run many internationally recognized health and safety training courses with delegates achieving on average a 96 per cent pass rate on the NEBOSH (National Examinations Board in Occupational Safety and Health) General Certificate course. The new office will provide us with the right facilities and ambience befitting a quality training company.”

Earlier this year, Wolverhampton-based support services and construction company Carillion took 3,068 sq ft at Aqueous 3.

Will Ventham, a director in the office agency team at CBRE in Birmingham, said: “We are continuing to receive a lot of interest in Aqueous 3 from occupiers who want the benefits of an out-of-town business park, such as car parking, transport links, on-site amenities and own front door access, but in a location close to the city centre.

“Aqueous 3 ticks all these boxes, in addition to providing high quality, cost-effective office accommodation.”
