International mobile surveillance company choose Newport for new regional office

An international mobile surveillance company has opened a regional office in Newport to service their growing Wales and South West customer base.

WCCTV is the UK’s leading supplier of mobile surveillance solutions, specialising in providing redeployable CCTV, electronic site security systems, body worn cameras and time lapse video services.

After securing the lease of their new unit on Wern Industrial Estate in Rogerstone, Newport through M4 Property Consultants who are the retained letting agents on the scheme, WCCTV will initially create ten new roles to provide their growing customer base in the region with a dedicated local team of installation engineers, customer support specialists, and account managers.

Established in Manchester in 2001, WCCTV were the pioneers of a range of live redeployable surveillance products for both mobile and static usage using GSM and later 3,4 & 5G technologies.

Their commitment to innovate has resulted in the company being awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation for the company’s redeployable CCTV systems.

Just last week, the company was named as the overall winner of the 10 Ones to Watch in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 as well as securing a £30m investment from a private equity house to accelerate their domestic and international growth plans.

Commenting on their decision to choose Newport as the location for their fifth office, Daniel del Soldato, Head of Communications said, “The company has successfully opened new offices across the UK and in the US as part of our ambitious development. We are already working with clients within the utilities, retail, transport and construction sectors, as well as local authorities and housing associations in Wales and will be developing and adding to these from our new base.”

Dan Smith, director of M4 Property Consultants negotiated the lease on behalf of the owners of Wern Industrial Estate. He said, “It has been an absolute pleasure working with the team at WCCTV. They are very much an inspiring company with robust business plans and were keen to find a location here in Wales that provided them with good access across South Wales and into the South West of England. The recently refurbished industrial units on Wern Industrial Estate were ideal and we were able to conclude the lease quickly and effectively. We now have just two remaining units, each of 3,000 sq. ft on the estate.”
