Reopening of indoor hospitality is vital second booster shot needed in recovery says Marble Arch BID

Kay Buxton, chief executive of Marble Arch London BID

Following the Prime Minister’s latest lockdown easing announcement Kay Buxton, chief executive of Marble Arch London BID, said:

“The reopening of indoor hospitality is the vital, second booster shot needed in the recovery roadmap for West End hotels, restaurants, pubs and venues, which generate enormous spending potential for the whole of Central London. In the Marble Arch district alone, our hotel and hospitality offer employs 135,000 people, hosts 3,000 hotel bedrooms and over 10,000 sqm of meeting and event space, the latter generating £45m of spend locally.

“The Marble Arch area attracts people from across the globe thanks to our thriving day and night time economy, proximity to London’s Royal Parks, and great variety of cafes, bars, restaurants and attractions, to which we will soon be introducing Marble Arch Mound.”
