Matthews & Goodman appoints new partner for West Midlands launch

Bev Robinson has joined Matthews & Goodman, one of the country’s leading specialist commercial property consultancies, as a Partner to spearhead the firm’s launch in the West Midlands.

Matthews & Goodman already has offices in London, North West and North East where it employs almost 100 people. The new office in the region allows the firm to offer its full range of services to better serve clients it already works with across the Midlands as well as provide growth opportunities for new business.

Operating out of Birmingham, Robinson has a broad professional capability which includes Expert Witness, Valuation Surveying, Property Receivership. Her proven expertise is underpinned by the fact that Robinson has achieved Fellowship status of the RICS, NARA and ARLA and is also a RICS Registered Valuer and a RICS Registered Property Receiver.

With over 30 years’ experience of property valuation and providing strategic advice in (property) receivership cases, Robinson’s extensive experience ranges from undertaking secured lending valuations and valuing assets in the retail, office, leisure and transport sectors, to being part of a management team which created an API management platform which acted as an interface between the banking and surveying professions.

Her former clients have included organisations working in a wide range of sectors such as main corporate banks, challenger banks and bridging companies.

Prior to joining Matthews & Goodman, Robinson was a Member Partner of Scanlans Consultant Surveyors – a firm she had been with for over 21 years. She has also worked for HBSV (formerly Henry Butcher Surveyors) and the British Rail Property Board. She now joins Matthews & Goodmans proprietary partnership and becomes a member of the LLP.

“Bev’s appointment marks an important milestone in the firm’s history,” said James Routledge, a Member of the LLP.

“Bev will add senior level capability and regional knowledge to our national Valuation, as well as other professional teams, and help leverage further growth in these areas.”
