Hull’s Orchard Park sold in multi-million deal

JMW Solicitors has advised Chester-based Chantler Investments LLP on the multi-million sale of Orchard Park, Hull.

The retail scheme was acquired by Altrincham-based Moanam Gaelic Investments.

Built in 2015, Orchard Park comprises 11 modern, fully-glazed ground floor retail units. The scheme is fully let on two low-risk leases to Heron Foods and Kingston upon Hull Council, with occupiers including McColl, Copelands and Dove House.

JMW Partners Andrew Stone and Thomas Pearson led on the deal.

Thomas Pearson said: “Orchard Park is a development I’ve been involved with since its initial acquisition, so we were very pleased to be able to advise on this latest deal – it’s a popular retail scheme that has become a key resource for the local community, particularly during the last year, and sees consistently strong footfall. With two long-term, low-risk leases it presented a strong investment opportunity.”

Edward Chantler, CEO of Chantler Investments, said: “The timing was right for us to dispose of Orchard Park to continue focusing on the industrial and logistics sector. Thanks to JMW Solicitors and M1 Agents who did a fantastic job all round.”

Orchard Park was managed by Legat Owen, and the selling agents were Edward Spooner and Brooke Wannop of M1 Agency.
