Pharmacy prescribes expansion with business unit lease

A pharmacy has signed a seven-year lease on a two-storey business unit in the riverside market town of Ringwood on the Hampshire-Dorset border.

Unit 8 at Pintail Business Park in Christchurch Road has been let to Ringwood Pharmacy, which will utilise the premises as an online pharmacy and for vaccinations.

Property consultancy Vail Williams acted for the landlord, a private property investor, in the letting of end-terrace unit 8, which is 1,891 sq ft and has an energy-efficiency rating of EPC A.

Bryony Thompson, a Partner at the Bournemouth office of Vail Williams, said: “There is strong commercial demand for units at Pintail Business Park – 10 industrial/business units were built in 2016, with the freeholds snapped up.

“Unit 8, previously occupied by Empower Energy, became available, with Ringwood Pharmacy, which also has a retail presence nearby in Southampton Road, signing a seven-year lease.

“Ringwood Pharmacy serves the local community of Ringwood and the wider areas of Bournemouth, Southampton, Poole, Verwood, Fordingbridge, Downton and Salisbury.”

According to industry figures, there were 13,732 pharmacies across the UK last year.

Rent details were undisclosed for unit 8, which is located about a mile from the A31 which provides access to the M27 to the east and to the A338 and A35 to the west.
