Hull dental clinic prepares to expand into new custom-built premises

An award-winning dental and skin clinic is preparing to expand into new custom-built premises in Hull.

Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic will double its surgery space when it moves to Monks Way Retail Park in Kingswood, Hull, which has been developed by Barnsley-based commercial property specialists, Priority Space.

The clinic, which is currently based on Newland Avenue in Hull, is due to open at Monks Way Retail Park in May, subject to Covid-19 national guidance. It will comprise of four state-of-the-art dental surgeries and a modern reception area.

The move is expected to create two full-time jobs as the clinic looks to grow its 11-strong team by recruiting an additional dentist and dental nurse.

Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic, which was founded by Amy Hills in 2015, recently announced it would be giving all NHS frontline staff 20 per cent off general dental care for the rest of 2020, to say thank you during the coronavirus crisis.

Amy Hills has worked in dentistry for over 18 years, having trained in the Royal Navy and at several dental hospitals including Sheffield University, Birmingham Dental Hospital and Harley Street in London.

Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic provides family dental care and medical-grade anti-ageing skin treatments including routine dental check-ups, porcelain veneers and Invisalign, as well as facial aesthetics performed by leading clinicians.

Suzie Sonnabend, practice manager at Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic, said: “Monks Way Retail Park is in the heart of the Kingswood community and so it’s the perfect place to relocate our family dental practice.

“Priority Space has allowed us free-reign of the space to create a bespoke design which will help meet the growing demand for family dental care, aesthetic dentistry and anti-ageing treatments in the area. Not only this, but when we open, our clients will benefit from free parking and can visit other amenities all in one place.”

Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic will join nine occupants on the site, which will include One Stop convenience store, Cooplands bakery, a veterinary practice, pharmacy and two takeaways.

Adam Richardson, co-director at Priority Space, said: “We look forward to welcoming the Whitehills team to Monks Way Retail Park.

“At Priority Space, it’s always our aim to meet the needs of the communities in which operate. We were aware that there were no dentists in the local area, and with the building of additional housing in the adjoining Kingswood development, we knew that securing a dental practice would really benefit local people.

“Amy, Suzie and the team have an outstanding reputation, not just in Hull, but in the north of England. I have no doubt that they’ll be a fantastic addition to the retail park.”

In 2019 Whitehills Dental & Skin Clinic won ‘Best Aesthetic Practice’ at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards. The clinic is also shortlisted for ‘Best Dental Practice of the Year (North)’ in the National Dentistry Awards 2020.
