Two deals sealed by Glentrool in Wakefield

Two new industrial property deals have been concluded by Glentrool Estates Group at its Tadman Street development in Wakefield.

The leading Ilkley-based property development and investment company has welcomed two expanding companies, KDV Flow and Smart Metal Solutions, to Tadman Street.

Both companies have taken 4,797 sq ft of quality trade property space on five-year leases in Glentrool’s terrace, comprising three self-contained units.

They join Speedy Hire, the UK’s leading hire provider of tools and plant, at Tadman Street. Speedy Hire’s unit is also 4,797 sq ft.

Lauren O’Toole, property portfolio manager for Glentrool, commented: “We are delighted to welcome both KDV Flow and Smart Metal Solutions to Wakefield. Both are expanding companies, who have identified our development as the best place for their new premises. We wish them both the best of luck”.

KDV Flow are an Australian-based company, who supply diaphragm valves, while Smart Metal Solutions offer a design, manufacturing and installation service for balustrades and railings.

Ms O’Toole explained: “The success of Tadman Street is a ringing endorsement of Wakefield as an increasingly-popular strategic location for industrial property.

“The location, so close to Junction 39 of the M1 with access to Yorkshire’s superb motorway network, is excellent and Wakefield is a well-established commercial centre with a large, skilled labour force,” she said. “It is also close to the popular Thornes Park.”

The two deals at Tadman Street come hard on the heels of the announcement that Glentrool has fully let its Astra Park development at Hunslet, near Leeds.

“We have been very busy indeed during the past two months and are delighted to confirm that our entire portfolio is now fully let, with first-class tenants, strong covenants and decent headline rents with room for growth,” said Ms O’Toole.
