Investors buy Sheffield industrial unit

Knight Frank has sold 10,000 sq ft of industrial property on a well-established Sheffield industrial estate located close to the successful AMRC.

Lincoln-based Hurlingham Estates has acquired the detached warehouse unit and self-contained yard at Orgreave Place on Dorehouse Industrial Estate for a six figure sum from established Sheffield manufacturer Hindleys.

The purchase of Unit 24 Orgreave Place by Hurlingham confirms the continued confidence in the South Yorkshire region where opportunities like this are far and few between.

The new owner now plans to let the unit, which currently provides open span warehousing with versatile offices, trade counter and mezzanine to potential new occupiers wanting modern industrial accommodation to be close to Junctions 33 & 34 of the M1 motorway and the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

Ben White, associate at Knight Frank in Sheffield, said: “It has been great to be involved with Hindleys on the sale of Orgreave Place to Hurlingham Estates. The transaction demonstrates the continued regional appetite for value-add industrial properties in South Yorkshire.

“The property sits within a good sized fenced and gated yard, has car parking, loading provisions, and office accommodation configured to either end of the warehouse, which will provide the ability to split the premises down into two smaller units if required.

“The property is located within the well-established Dorehouse Industrial Estate, around five miles from Sheffield City Centre and benefits from good transport links, with Junctions 31 and 33 of the M1 and the Advanced Manufacturing Park within close proximity.”
