City Plumbing opens the dedicated trade counter terrace at Horizon38

City Plumbing is the first business to open its doors at Horizon38’s dedicated trade counter terrace.

Horizon 38, developed by MSF Filton, is a joint venture between St Francis Group and Isec, funded by Ropemaker, and is located adjacent to the A38 in North Bristol. It continues to attract high quality occupiers to its range of speculatively built units.

City Plumbing, part of the Travis Perkins Group, has taken 5,184 sq ft of space. The terrace of seven trade showrooms is visible from the A38 and fronts Taurus Road, the new road named after the locally built historic military aero-engine.

City Plumbing has allocated customer parking at its showroom, providing the business with a prominent frontage to promote its business. The site offers an excellent location in north Bristol for deliveries and just in time customer stock holding.

The trade counter terrace is situated adjacent to Car Shop, GKN R&D facility, and Selco Builders Warehouse – high profile occupiers that have been drawn to this exceptional regeneration project.

The trade counter units range in size from 3,901 – 5,181 sq ft, or units can be combined to create a larger floorspace.

City Plumbing has a network of more than 370 branches around the UK and Ireland, and its branch at Horizon38 is the latest to open its doors. City Plumbing provides everything professional and DIYers need for their plumbing, heating and electrical work.

Phillip Joyce, Property Director from City Plumbing says, “We pride ourselves on running our branches locally, so customers get the best service every time. Our new City Plumbing branch at Horizon38 includes a Bathroom Showroom and is in a fantastic location in the north of Bristol for our trade customers and members of the public.”

James Short from Avison Young, joint letting agent with JLL for Horizon38 says, “With its prominent location alongside the A38, and close to the YTL development at Filton Airfield, Horizon38 is an ideal location for trade counters where businesses rely on easy access and parking for their customers.

“With further units available within the terrace, there are still opportunities for businesses to join City Plumbing within this thriving business community.”

Horizon 38 is part of the East Works Masterplan Development, with MSF Filton investing around £50m into a range of speculative industrial units and infrastructure. The new £85 million employment scheme combines industrial and distribution buildings totalling 580,000 sq ft.

GKN Aerospace has made Horizon38 the home for its new £32million global technology centre. Sytner Group has built a £15million sales and service operation for its CarShop brand, while the Village Hotel and Leisure Club was one of the first businesses to open on the development.
