Truck & Bus Wales & West acquires 7 acres at Delta Properties’ Central Park extension in Bristol

Truck & Bus Wales & West (“WW”) has acquired 7 acres at Delta Properties’ newly released extension of Central Park, Bristol, at Severn Road in Avonmouth, for its new depot.

The deal marks the third sale in this new phase of Delta Properties’ developments in Bristol, following outstanding success in completing Central Park with occupiers including The Range, Amazon, DHL and Lidl.

The first phase of the Severn Road development, comprising just under 50 acres, benefits from the same extant planning consents which are in place at Central Park. The site has full planning consent already granted for open storage or new build warehouse and distribution, meaning no further planning permission is required prior to commencing development.

WW has purchased a plot of just over 7 acres for a new depot.

Billy Nairn, Managing Director at WW, said: “After searching for many years to find the right location in Avonmouth, we are delighted to have completed on this land purchase and look forward to building a new head office and main workshop to continue supporting our customers and provide great facilities for our staff.”

Michael Shebson, of Delta Properties said: “We are delighted to welcome Truck & Bus Wales & West as our latest occupier for this next phase of development. They join Dawsongroup Plc & Wren Kitchens who signed with us over the last few months.

“Our infrastructure programme including a new access road, is on schedule to complete before the end of 2019. Discussions with other potential occupiers are advanced, attracted by the location to the motorway network with the anticipated opening of the new M49 junction, and the huge benefits the existing planning consent bring. We expect to announce further deals shortly”.

Delta Properties announced the first deal at Severn Road with Dawsongroup Plc in July, followed by a deal with Wren Kitchens in September.

Avison Young and Knight Frank acted on behalf of Delta Properties. Lodders Solicitors and Bromwich Hardy acted on behalf of WW.

Plots ranging from 2 – 10 acres are still available for freehold purchase at Central Park, Severn Road, Bristol.
