Allied Surveyors Scotland can confirm the purchase of the former West Lothian Courier premises at 20-22 King Street in Bathgate.
The deal was put together for an undisclosed sum by Allied’s east coast commercial agency acting sum on behalf of Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (VSGWL).
The building, which extends to around 1,800 sq ft, had been lying been vacant since the newspaper title moved out in July 2018.
“We were tasked by our client to source office premises within Bathgate town centre which could facilitate their intended relocation,” said director of commercial agency east, Iain Mercer.
“The property at King Street provides our client with sufficient space to grow into and gives them a roadside presence for attracting clients.”
Alan McCloskey, Chief Executive Officer of VSGWL, commented: “The purchase of this property fits well with our overall strategy and will give us the desired presence in Bathgate.”
The vendor, Media Scotland, was represented in the transaction by Paradigm Property Consultants.
