Allied Surveyors Scotland confirm appointment of senior commercial valuer

David Harvey, senior commercial valuer, Allied Surveyors Scotland

Allied Surveyors Scotland is pleased to announce the immediate appointment of David Harvey as a senior commercial valuer in their Edinburgh office.

David, 43, joins from the Lothian Valuation Joint Board where he was a Senior Valuer for 15 years, latterly holding the position of Divisional Valuer.

He will now be based out of Allied Surveyors’ Walker Street office in the capital’s west end. Commenting on his appointment, he said:

“This is an exciting move to one of Scotland’s largest firms of Chartered Surveyors and I look forward to providing a dedicated commercial valuation service for our wide range of clients.”

David’s appointment follows swiftly after the announcement in June that the former Scotland rugby internationalist Gavin Kerr had been recruited by Allied as a senior building surveyor.

“We are continuing to invest in our business and David represents a vital addition in our efforts to service our commercial property clients,” commented Chris Highton, director and vice-chairman of Allied Surveyors Scotland.

In providing commercial valuation services, David will be working closely with the firm’s east coast commercial agency department which was launched in April 2018 by Iain Mercer.

“David brings with him a skill-set and level of experience which will further enhance what we are offering as a firm in commercial property,” said Mr Mercer, director of commercial agency (east).

Allied Surveyors Scotland has 32 offices across Scotland including 3 regional centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness providing commercial agency services.
