NG helps entrepreneur set up a ‘wheeley’ good business

NG Chartered Surveyors has let 7,200 sq ft at Fishergate Point, on Nottingham’s inner ring road, to a city based entrepreneur  who saw its potential as a MOT test centre and tyre sales outlet.

Acting on behalf of a private landlord, NG have been marketing the development of workshops, showrooms and offices jointly with FHP.

Amy D’Hooghe, from NG, negotiated a 10 year lease on units 9 and 11 for Anwar Mohammad, who leased it to launch his new business, called Q FIT.

Amy said:  “Mr Mohammad decided to lease two of the units and went about removing an internal wall to make it the ideal size for his new business. Previously, the premises had been used by the motor trade, so it was a great location for him to set up his business from.”

Anwar Mohammad said: “Having lived in Nottingham for over 15 years, I knew that I wanted to stay here and grow a successful business for myself. I have run my own business before, which I sold to fund the launch of this new one.

“At the moment we have two people working in the firm, but we have the intention to take on more staff because business is going very well. We have a growing pool of commercial customers who are based in the city, as well as members of the general public wanting to bring their vehicles to us. At the moment we have the space to service up to 10 cars at once.

“Before I got the keys to the units, I had decided that I wanted to do a superficial refurbishment on the premises, as well as knocking down the internal wall between units 9 and 11. This included a tidy up, some painting and electrical work.

“I have invested in the very latest equipment, which includes alarms, a machine that rebalances tyres – plus everything needed for MOT testing.

“Working with Amy from NG was a pleasure. No matter what sort of questions I asked her, during the negotiations and the move, she found out the answer for me. She has helped me achieve my business goal.”
