Eshton lets Tyler Close unit to local lighting business

Normanton occupier BELL Lighting has taken a new lease on a 24,000 sq ft unit on Tyler Close, to complement its existing facility of 32,000 sq ft on the same estate. The unit was purchased last year by the landlord, Eshton, which then undertook a planned refurbishment programme, ahead of marketing for a new tenant.

According to Rob Oliver of Avison Young, who brokered the deal on behalf of BELL Lighting: “We undertook a wide-ranging search of options for our client in the local area and identified this unit as best suiting its requirement for additional warehouse accommodation, given its size, location and design.”

Ralph Grote of BELL Lighting added: “The signing of this lease will enable BELL Lighting to carry on expanding its stockholding of over 1,600 units of products for the electrical wholesale market. We have committed, as part of our 100-year anniversary next year, to increase both our product range and general stock levels to meet the increasing demand.”

Jonathan Chapman of Eshton commented: “We are delighted to have signed up BELL Lighting as a tenant for this unit. We were pleased to get the opportunity to acquire this unit on a vacant possession basis and were confident we would attract a good tenant if we undertook the right refurbishment works, given its excellent location at Normanton, good site layout and generous secure yard. It attracted strong occupier interest, and we are on the lookout for another similar project’.
