Regal occupier opens at Birmingham’s Embassy House

Leading regional set, Kings Chambers has expanded into the Midlands.

Kings Chambers has acquired accommodation on the ground floor of the newly refurbished Embassy House in Birmingham’s city core, in a deal brokered by DTZ, part of UGL Services, on behalf of AXA Real Estate Investment Managers and Savills acting on behalf of Kings Chambers.

Kings has established offices in Manchester and Leeds, having opened in Manchester in 1946 and Leeds in 1998, and has acquired a self contained ground floor suite in the building which underwent a £2 million refurbishment earlier this year including major works to the reception and communal areas.

Matthew Long, Associate Director at DTZ, commented: “AXA’s continued investment, together with the recently completed Church Street Square, has reaffirmed Embassy House’s position as a high profile business address in the heart of Birmingham’s CBD. This has led to Embassy House being able to attract high quality occupiers, such as Kings Chambers to open their first Birmingham office.”

Jonathan Ottewell, Associate at Savills said: “Having reviewed the available opportunities in the market, we quickly determined that a self contained office suite would suit the profile our clients were seeking; the ability to acquire this type of accommodation in the city core does not present itself too often so we were keen to secure it as quickly as possible.”

Debra Andrés, Chambers Director at Kings Chambers said: “This is an exciting expansion for chambers and Embassy House represented a strong option, particularly given its location in the heart of the Colmore Business District.”

Jones Lang LaSalle is joint letting agent on Embassy House.
