Richard Austin Alloys buys Spectra 57 at Irlam

Acting on behalf of North Cheshire Developments, industrial specialist LM6 has sold Spectra 57, a 2.23 acre development plot at Northbank Industrial Park in Irlam, Greater Manchester, to Richard Austin Alloys (RAA) for £730,000.

RAA, which is one of the UK’s largest independent aluminium and stainless steel stockholders, will be building a new 30,000 sq ft facility on the site which is located between Cadishead Way and Brinall Road.

The Irlam based company, which was established in 1981, has facilities at a number of locations throughout the UK. It is expanding its operations and will be developing out the new unit this year.

Commenting on the deal Phil Morley of LM6 said: “This is the perfect location for Richard Austin Alloys’ expansion as it puts them firmly in the heart of the region’s manufacturing and industrial activity, with a strong labour market on the doorstep. Not only are they surrounded by many leading firms in the sector but they will be in an excellent location to access both the M6 and M60 motorways.”

Other site occupiers include Omega Engineering, Perkins Engines, UPS, Werit and Molnlycke Healthcare.
