DTZ, part of UGL Services, a division of UGL Limited (ASX: UGL), has successfully let 7,500 sq ft of grade A accommodation at Newcastle’s landmark office scheme, Baltic Place.

Technip Wind Offshore Limited has taken 7,581 sq ft of space on level 8 of Baltic Place East on a 10 year lease. DTZ acted on behalf of the landlord, The Robertson Group, whilst JK Property Consultants represented Technip.

Located on Gateshead Quays, Baltic Place provides 131,000 sq ft of grade A space in two ‘twin’ buildings with views over Newcastle Quayside. Inside, the scheme offers open plan, flexible accommodation with glazed full height windows and is rated with an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.

Michael O’Driscoll, Senior Surveyor at DTZ in Newcastle commented: “Baltic Place’s tenant mix features an enviable list of brands from a range of sectors which is testament to the appeal of this prestigious building.”

Other occupiers within Baltic Place, which is also managed by DTZ, include oil and gas industry specialist, Flexlife, Santander, Newcastle Gateshead’s tourist board and Michael Page.

Stuart Hopley, Development Manager, The Robertson Group added: “We are delighted that Technip has chosen to expand its operations at Baltic Place.”
