Car parts companies move in as new Andover business park steps up a gear

Two national car parts companies have joined the list of occupiers at Glenmore Trade Park, Andover – leaving just three units left to be let at the recently-opened development.

Motor Parts Direct and GSF Car Parts have taken a unit each at the site in Greenwich Way, joining household names Topps Tiles, Magnet Kitchens/Magnet Trade and Formula One Auto Centres, which have let units at the scheme, built speculatively by Glenmore Holdings Ltd.

Tony Morpeth, of Glenmore Holdings, said: “Glenmore Trade Park was developed in response to demand for quality properties in this important commercial area of Hampshire, and we are delighted to have already attracted five nationally-known businesses to these units.

“We are also pleased to see a significant level of interest in the remaining three units, which are ideally suited for trade counter or industrial use and are in a prominent position next to the busy roadside. We are very much looking forward to welcoming new occupiers to what is already a thriving business area.”

The three remaining units can provide sizes from 3,258 sq ft to 6,658 sq ft, have 8m eaves height and are fully secure with sectional roller shutter doors. Full planning consent has been granted for industrial use with ancillary trader counter operation.

They are within walking distance of Tesco and Sainsbury supermarkets and of Enham Arch Retail Park, where occupiers include Halfords, Homebase, Next, Maplin Electronics, The Range and Brantano Footwear.

It is also close to Churchill Way Retail Park, home to national retailers including TK Maxx, Currys Digital and Carpet Right.

Dan Rawlings, Surveyor – Industrial at the South Coast offices of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), joint agent for the park with Myddelton & Major, said: “This is a successful scheme for Andover that has rapidly taken shape and has been associated with household names from an early stage. The success of speculative schemes like this demonstrates the economic confidence that is felt in Andover and the business community across the region.”

Glenmore Trade Park is one of a number of new developments that Glenmore is building and they are always on the lookout for further similar sites for development throughout the whole of the South.
