Rebecca Schofield, head of the Yorkshire industrial team at Knight Frank in Sheffield

Knight Frank partner Rebecca Schofield was named the top property personality in South Yorkshire at the Sheffield City Region Property Dinner 2018.

The ceremony was held at the Mercure St Paul’s Hotel and also included the prestigious Property Deal of the Year accolade.

In the past year, Rebecca has advised on deals at Capitol Park in Barnsley, Redhouse Interchange, Doncaster and the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham and beat off strong competition from other personalities including CMS’ Martin McKervey, Nick Jones from Turner & Townsend and Dave Cross from CODA.

Rebecca said: “I am delighted to be presented with this award. I have worked in the commercial property sector in Yorkshire for more than 12 years and have seen major transformations in the region development wise and helped make Knight Frank market leaders in Yorkshire.

“We have, and continue to work with, many great clients. We are lucky to have the opportunity to work with them on their developments, and showcase their hard work.

“This region has something to offer everyone from large industrial warehousing to small bespoke units for starts ups. I look forward to working on a number of new developments in the region assisting both clients and occupiers with relocations.”

Sheffield’s 3 St Paul’s Place £24m sale to M&G Real Estate also picked up Property Deal of the Year with Knight Frank acting as letting and sale agents on the project. David Topham of CTP collected the award.

The speculatively built office building was the first to be developed in the city since the recession. Completed in 2016, it is now home to engineering, project management and design consultancy Arup.

Knight Frank’s 15-year letting of Helix, Gateway 36, Barnsley to car supermarket Motor Depot was also shortlisted in the category.
