Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) to deliver surveying and business rates services following a competitive tender process.
The contracts, which will each last for a minimum of three years, will see Cushman & Wakefield advise HMRC across its entire estate consisting of over 200 properties across the UK.
Surveying services for HMRC will include valuations, acquisitions and disposals, dilapidations, asset management advice and all aspects of landlord and tenant matters. A second contract will see Cushman & Wakefield provide business rates services and advice to HMRC.
The work will include supporting HMRC on its Estates Transformation programme, which will see the acquisition of new sites and a national reorganisation around Regional Centres, and supporting HMRC as it creates a new Estates Management System.
The appointments by HMRC follow Cushman & Wakefield’s reappointment to the Crown Commercial Service’s Estates Professional Services Framework in 2017. The four-year framework provides central government, local authority health trusts, emergency services, schools, housing associations and regeneration agencies with direct access to a full range of Cushman & Wakefield services on a national basis.
