New appointment adds to Barker Storey Matthews’ regional and national offering

Barker Storey Matthews is expanding its Building Surveying Division with the appointment of Rory Addison Smith.

Rory, who qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2013, joins as an Associate Director and is based at Barker Storey Matthews’ new headquarters building in Peterborough from where he will service the firm’s client base across its offices in Huntingdon, Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds.

Joining Barker Storey Matthews from the London office of Weston Allison Wright, where he worked for seven years, Rory specialises in design and specification, project management and schedules of dilapidations for all types of commercial property sectors including office, industrial and education.

Rory has acted for a number of leading property funds in the office and industrial sectors in Central London and throughout the UK.

Welcoming Rory to Barker Storey Matthews, Steve Hawkins, Managing Director, said, “The addition of Rory to our Building Surveying Division team provides us with the opportunity to increase and speed up the delivery of client offer.
