Winter sees a flurry of lettings at new industrial development

Barker Storey Matthews is reporting a flurry of new lettings secured at Hinchingbrooke Business Park in Huntingdon which has seen four new occupiers begin to trade since the beginning of the year from newly constructed units at Kingfisher Court.

The four most recent occupiers are Specialist Fire and Security Ltd, AV Xpert Limited, Novo Motors Ltd and Detail Your Eye Candy – the latter specialises in premium automotive paintwork detailing and finishing.

Kingfisher Court comprises eight new-build industrial/business units ranging in size from 1,800 sq ft to 5,100 sq ft. With two further units confirmed as sold or under offer in February, the agent advises all that remains to let at Kingfisher Court is a single 5,100 sq ft unit with scope to divide in to two 2,550 sq ft units.

Over half of Kingfisher Court was allocated to occupiers prior to construction and completion and its success is mirrored by its companion development Falcon Court – both developed by Barnack UK Ltd.

All the units at Falcon Court have been sold and three out of the four units purchased as investments are now under offer to tenants, the large 8,000 sq ft unit having been let and occupied by Bartlett Automotive last December (2017).

Commenting on the success of Kingfisher Court and Falcon Court, Richard Adam, Director, Barker Storey Matthews Huntingdon, said, “Both brand new industrial courts have attracted solid interest.

“Barnack UK Ltd construct well designed, good quality business units in a landscaped setting. Kingfisher Court and Falcon Court are situated towards the entrance to Hinchingbrooke Business Park which is well positioned to give onward road access to and from the surrounding Cambridgeshire area and beyond.

“Investment purchasers and all potential occupiers are certainly factoring in the A14 upgrade in selecting business premises in and around the Huntingdon area and so it’s cheering to see the improvement works continue apace.”
