JLL looks to unlock region’s potential as new role expands development consultancy offering

In a bid to help funders and investors unlock development opportunities across the Midlands, the Nottingham offices of JLL has appointed Anabel Christmas as an associate director within the Development team.

Having worked in-house for a number of the region’s developers and as a consultant with public and private sector clients, Anabel brings with her expert knowledge and experience of what the market demands.

With the skillset and experience to help unlock both complex city centre and urban extensions for housing, mixed-use and Private Rented Sector (PRS), Matthew Smith, lead director of JLL’s Nottingham office speaking about Anabel’s appointment said:

“Whilst we have already been advising on many of the key inner city and out of town strategic sites in the region, the buoyant housing market and growth of alternatives sectors such as PRS opens up significant scope for this role.

“Anabel has a good range of on the ground experience to understand what makes a site viable and combined with our extensive in-house team of specialists, including planning, investment and project management advisers, we have the resources to acquire, negotiate gain planning, masterplan and source funding parties as well handling disposals.”.

Anabel commented “The market is ripe for this role and there are some huge opportunities, which with the stature and presence of the JLL name in the region we can deliver and working alongside our specialist residential investment and funding colleagues across the Midlands.

“It’s an incredibly exciting new challenge to take on and combined with the contacts and knowledge I’ve built up working on my own as a consultant I can really hit the ground running.”
