Grace Shackell and Elliot Evans, graduate surveyors at the Cardiff office of global property consultancy Knight Frank, have passed the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) examination.

The qualification success means the two become members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and fully-qualified Chartered Surveyors.

Elliot Evans joined Knight Frank in Cardiff in 2016 after achieving a first class honours degree in law at Swansea University, and a MSc in real estate management at the University of West of England in Bristol.

Grace Shackell moved to the Cardiff office in 2016 from Knight Frank in London.

As well as studying and practical training towards their RICS assessment of professional competence, both have been involved in a range of projects for Knight Frank’s Professional and Agency Teams over the last 12 months.

Elliot Evans said: “The support offered by the Knight Frank graduate scheme is acknowledged as one of the best in the commercial property sector.”

Grace Shackell added: “I would recommend other graduates consider a similar route into becoming a chartered surveyor. It’s a tough course but very rewarding when you qualify.”

Matt Phillips, managing partner of Knight Frank in Cardiff, said: “We are delighted that Grace and Elliot have passed their Assessment of Professional Competence and are now fully qualified chartered surveyors. Both of them have impressed us all with their hard working approach, combined with a real understanding of how commercial property works and a determination to give our clients a first class service.”
