Knight Frank brokers new letting at Central Park

Yorkshire claims management firm the Davies Group has taken 5,100 sq ft of quality office space at the popular Central Park development in Leeds.

The Davies Group has signed a ten-year lease at a rent of £12.50 per sq ft at Central Park, which is owned by development and investment company Squarestone.

Sam Jamieson, of global property consultancy Knight Frank in Leeds, who represented the landlords, commented: “The Davies Group are opening a new office in Leeds and have made a major commitment to Central Park, which is perfectly located immediately south of Leeds Station and close to the River Aire.

“Central Park also fronts the main approach road into Leeds from the A1, the M1 and the rest of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network. This is an area of Leeds which is becoming increasingly popular, given its location close to the station and its competitive rents,” said Mr Jamieson.

“The offices themselves provide an excellent modern working environment and the rent is competitive,” he added.

Paul Coulter, Head of Asset Management for Squarestone, commented:” We are delighted to welcome such a high-calibre tenant as The Davies Group to Central Park. This is the first new letting since we acquired the asset a few months ago and started a programme of investment to upgrade the site to appeal to modern occupier needs, whilst providing cost-effective space in a superb central location.

“We only have 20,000 sq ft remaining on the 60,000 sq ft park with strong interest and hope to be 100% occupied within the next few months given the quality of the product and location and our flexible and affordable deal packages on offer,” he added.

Other tenants at Central Park include QBE, Unisys and Estio.
