Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Jon Leedham as its new Head of Business Space Regions.
Based in Cushman & Wakefield’s Birmingham office, Leedham is a well-known figure in the city’s property market, acting on a number of high-profile buildings and projects, including being part of the team which advised Birmingham City Council on the redevelopment of Grand Central shopping centre.
Specialising in lease advisory and valuations, Jon was previously Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Midlands, South West and Wales region, a position he has held since 2003. He joined Cushman & Wakefield’s predecessor, DTZ, as a graduate in 1988.
In his new role he will be responsible for driving forward the firm’s regional business which encompasses eight offices across England, Scotland and Wales.
He will report to George Roberts who was recently appointed as the firm’s Head of UK & Ireland.

Cushman & Wakefield’s regional business has advised on a number of high profile projects over the last year. These include: the largest city centre regeneration project in Europe at Smithfield Birmingham; the 380,000 sq ft GPU letting in Leeds – the largest office deal in the city’s history; two of the largest office deals transacted in Scotland this year; one of the largest port development sites in the UK at Humber International Enterprise Park and the creation of a new city neighbourhood at Filton Airfield in Bristol.
