Bristol’s One Cathedral Square fully let in 3 months

The recently refurbished One Cathedral Square office scheme in Bristol city centre is fully let following two major deals.

The University of Bristol has taken a 10 year lease on 27,341 sq ft of space on the ground and first floors. Dyson Technology Limited has acquired the second and third floors totaling 28,718 sq ft on a 10 year lease.

Both deals were completed within three months of the building’s refurbishment reaching practical competition.

Cushman & Wakefield and LSH agreed the deals on behalf of Castleforge Partners. Alder King advised the University of Bristol and Strutt & Parker advised Dyson.

Situated on the historic College Green in Bristol, One Cathedral Square underwent a £7.2million refurbishment to create a new façade to the building, a partially infilled atria and extensive new facilities which promote the wellbeing characteristics of the office. The building also has a ‘living wall’, the largest of its kind in Bristol.

Anthony Maxwell Jones of the landlord Castleforge commented: “This has been a wonderful project and a great result for all parties associated with it. We’ve been able to offer the tenants what they wanted from a high class city centre office and we look forward to them moving into Cathedral Square. This project highlights our capabilities of turning old and tired office buildings into some of the best office space available.”

Andy Heath, Partner and Head of Office agency at Cushman & Wakefield in Bristol, said: “Due to the exceedingly high quality product the team produced, which is one of the best buildings in the city centre, we have been able to attract the highest quality tenants. We are pleased to have agreed the lettings so quickly which demonstrates the level of demand for high quality, centrally located office space in the city.”
