Ryden has confirmed that it has signed up the UK’s fastest growing plus-size retailer for women, Yours Clothing, for the former Disney Store unit at 2-6 Murraygate in Dundee. This is the fashion retailer’s first store in the city and its fifth in Scotland.
Ryden acted on behalf of the landlord, Norham House 2 Ltd, in the deal, whilst HAS Retail acted on behalf of Yours Clothing. A rent of £95,000 per annum was being sought for the 848 sq m (9,133 sq ft) prominent four storey building.
The new shop is set to open its doors on 24th November, following completion of fit-out works at the unit.
Iain Taylor, letting agent at Ryden, commented: “This unit attracted strong interest almost immediately after our to let board went up following the announcement that the previous long term tenant, The Disney Store, intended to vacate. We are pleased to have secured Yours Clothing, a new entrant on the Dundee fashion retail scene, within six months of the property being empty.”
Yours Clothing was established by Andrew Killingsworth in 1994 as a market stall. Today, over 120 stores are open across the UK and the company is continuing to expand.
