Robotics firm expands in North Bristol

An innovative robotics and mobile gaming company has acquired space at a north Bristol office park.

Reach Robotics has taken a five year lease on 5,115 sq ft of office space on the first floor of 3110 Great Western Court, Parkway in Bristol.

The company was formed in 2013 as part of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory incubator programme and is its first acquisition in the city following recent funding.

Cushman & Wakefield agreed the deal on behalf of the landlord, Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) whilst Colliers International represented the tenant.

Located adjacent to Bristol Parkway railway station and within easy access of the M4 and M32, Great Western Court is part of an established office location which is home to major occupiers including Experian, the MOD Abbey Wood, Barclays and Handelsbanken.

Andy Heath, Partner and Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Bristol office agency team, commented: “We are delighted to have helped Reach Robotics gain a foothold in this popular location. The letting shows growing appetite for north Bristol and the convenience of Bristol Parkway station which will be further enhanced with the electrification of the Great Western main line and MetroBus which provides regular links to the city centre.”

The ground floor of 3110 Great Western Court is still available which comprises 5,064 sq ft of newly-refurbished office space. The other tenants on the estate are Infineon Technologies and Applicable.

Reach Robotics develops augmented reality technology for the gaming industry. Their creations include battle bot MekaMon, a robot controlled by smart phones which combines virtual and physical gaming experiences. Earlier this year, the company secured a £5.8 million investment from Singaporean venture capital firm iGlobe Partners.
