Recruitment continues at Foot Anstey

The top 100 law firm Foot Anstey has announced three new Legal Directors at the fast growing firm. Nick Boyd, George Gilpin and Kate New have all been recruited to the national law firm as Foot Anstey continues on its growth journey.

Kate New specialises in commercial Property Litigation, with significant experience of advising landlords, tenants and other clients, faced with commercial property disputes. She is the latest recruit to the firm’s Southampton office.

She assists clients with freehold disputes, including trespass, restrictive covenants and easements (specifically rights of light).  She has a particular focus in the retail, leisure, charity, and development sectors.  Kate is recognised as a Leader in her Field by both independent UK legal directories and has been invited to speak publically and write, on her areas of expertise.

Legal Director George Gilpin is a member of our Private Wealth group and specialises largely in residential and rural property conveyancing, but also has extensive experience of commercial property.  He is the latest recruit to the firm’s Exeter office.

George has unique skills as a consulting arborist – the only solicitor in the country with formal qualifications in this specialism.  This unique expertise is of particular importance to developer clients and to those responsible for the care and management of trees under tree preservation orders and in conservation areas.

Nick Boyd joins in Foot Anstey’s Corporate team from an international law firm bringing a significant experience in a range of matters including acquisitions, joint ventures, public company work and a range of commercial agreements across corporate law. He has spent a substantial amount of his career working on cross-border and international matters in both the UK and the Middle East.
