Marketing team doubles following five new appointments at John Pye Auctions

Rapidly expanding Nottingham-based John Pye Auctions has brought another five jobs to the city following the expansion of its marketing team.

Due to the substantial and continued growth of the business over the last five years, the marketing team has welcomed an additional five members of staff who will be based at the auctioneer’s head office in New Basford.

Ben Ernstzen, Katrina Heath, Emily Tomlinson, Casey Noble and Ashleigh Daley join the existing five members of the marketing team which is led by national marketing manager Faye Rollinson and will be responsible for implementing the auctioneer’s ambitious marketing strategy.

Faye said: “John Pye Auctions is in a period of considerable expansion which has seen six new sites open in the last 11 months. Marketing is key to managing and utilising that growth while ensuring the trusted John Pye Auctions brand and ethos is adhered to throughout.

“These five new positions have been created to manage the larger demand the business brings to the marketing division and the additional resource and talent will allow us to remain innovative in our marketing campaigns.

“As a team, we are responsible for multiple national campaigns and we are currently working on a number of high-profile projects which will be seen in the public domain over the coming months.

“Ben, Katrina, Emily, Casey and Ashleigh are joining the firm at an exciting time and I am thrilled to welcome them to the team”

Ben Ernstzen, from Birmingham but now living in Nottingham city centre, has joined the team as a marketing executive after completing a 12-month marketing internship with the firm. The Nottingham Trent University graduate has now been offered the job on a full-time basis and will be responsible for digital innovation on all marketing initiatives.

Ben said: “After spending a fantastic year working with the marketing team as an intern I am so pleased to have been offered a full-time position within the business.  It’s a fast-paced and dynamic place to work and I have learnt a great deal working for such a large and well-established firm.

“I’m looking forward to continuing my career at John Pye Auctions and working with Faye and the rest of the team.”

Katrina Heath, from Sheffield has joined in the position of marketing executive and is currently studying for a BA in Marketing Management.

Emily Tomlinson has been appointed as communications executive. Emily, who studied Public Relations at the London College of Communication, will be responsible for delivering the firms internal communications to its 295 staff across its 22 auction sites in the UK.

Casey Noble and Ashleigh Daley have been selected from over 30 applicants to be the firm’s latest intake of apprentices. Both will stay with the firm for a year with the hope of securing a full-time position at the end of the term.
Casey is studying Product Design and Ashleigh Business Management at Nottingham Trent University.

Faye added: “Our apprenticeships offer students the chance to delve into the ever-changing world of marketing and learn more about establishing a company as a national brand.

“Casey and Ashleigh will be working with us alongside their studies and will have our full support throughout the next 12 months. They will have the opportunity to experience a busy marketing environment and get involved in the execution of campaigns as well as learn about marketing best practice, auction and retail trends and industry changes in our consumer driven business.

“They both fit perfectly into our team and I hope they enjoy the experience.”

The marketing team is currently recruiting for a further member of the team – an SEO and digital marketing executive.
