Cheddar-based manufacturer secures storage facility in Glastonbury

Vado, the Cheddar-based bathroom brassware manufacturer and a division of Norcros Plc, have recently completed on the open market letting of approximately 24,000 Sq Ft at Wells Road Trading Estate in Glastonbury.

RMW Knight Chartered Surveyors (Wells) advised the Landlord and continues to market the remaining available space. Stonechester Real Estate advised the Tenant.

These units have been vacant since local investors and developers, Tincknell Property, acquired the 10-acre, former furniture factory site in June 2015, comprising over 120,000 sqft / 11,150 sqm) of vacant and mostly derelict, industrial/storage and ancillary office accommodation. Since their acquisition, the Landlords have invested in a fairly comprehensive refurbishment programme, which included re-cladding, replacement/overhaul of windows, doors and lighting, upgrading of services and car parking facilities and enhanced site security.

This work, together with their willingness to consider interest on single or multiple units, on conventional leasehold or flexible arrangements, has resulted in a number of lettings, the largest to locally established builder’s merchants, CRS Building Supplies.

At the time of writing, only 40% (approximately 49,000 sqft / 4,550 sqm) of industrial/warehouse space remains available to let across 5 units, with the Landlord willing to offer tailored proposals to occupiers from 2,000 sqft / 185 sqm upwards. A two-storey, predominantly open plan office building of approximately 5,500 sqft / 510 sqm is also available to let separately, or in conjunction with, the above-mentioned space.
