Law firm Ashfords LLP’s Bristol-based corporate team has advised advanced technology investor Ombu Group on a £22.5 million financing round of Bluewater Bio International, a provider of water and waste treatment technologies with operations in the UK, Bahrain and China.
Hermes GPE Environmental Innovation Fund LP also invested in the round, which is believed to represent one of the largest growth capital finance rounds in the water sector in the last year.
The Ashfords team was led by corporate partner Andrew Betteridge, assisted by Chris Dyson (corporate), Becky Dury (banking) and Garry Mackay (commercial).
