Cushman & Wakefield to market Liverpool’s Sensor City

Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed to market a new state-of-the-art innovation centre in Liverpool.

Located at the gateway to the city’s Knowledge Quarter, Sensor City is a technical and business support centre for the cutting edge sensor industry. The scheme is jointly funded by the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University with the aim of establishing the city as a global hub for sensor technologies.

The scheme is due for completion later this month and comprises 2,500 sq m of space which includes co-working spaces, a technology development zone, an open innovation lab as well as shared meeting space and conference facilities.

The building’s facilities, business support and spaces will be available both to companies who are Sensor City residents and also to the wider sensor community.

Jonathan Baucher, Partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s Business Space team, commented: “We are delighted to be working with the city’s Universities on this exciting scheme. It will be a vibrant hub for the creation, development, production and promotion of cutting edge sensor technologies for use in a wide range of sectors. We have already received a strong level of occupational interest in the scheme.”
