Appointment strengthens Welsh property firm’s credentials

Mark Cunningham, Bruton Knowles

Leading commercial property specialists Bruton Knowles has expanded its Welsh operation with the appointment of a new surveyor.

Mark Cunningham has now joined the firm as senior surveyor to help handle a steep increase in compensation and valuation work, particularly across South and West Wales.

News on Mark’s appointment follows a period which has seen the Cardiff office of Bruton Knowles go from strength-to-strength and its search to bring in more top-rated talent to handle the increase in commercial property related enquiries.

Originally from Cyncoed in Cardiff, Mark gained his degree in Property Management and Valuation from the University of Glamorgan. He then briefly worked for Bruton Knowles after graduating back in 2001.

Mark then moved to London where he worked for Transport for London working on a number of major schemes for London Underground, Rail for London and Crossrail.

Mark said: “Returning to Bruton Knowles was an obvious choice for me as it’s an established firm and growing in a number of niche market areas. The added appeal is that the firm operates nationally through its network of offices across England and Wales and has a very good client base.

“I’m now looking forward to generating business and increasing Bruton Knowles’ market share across the region, especially in the areas in which I have particular expertise.”

Nick Worman of Bruton Knowles’ Welsh office added: “Mark’s rail experience will prove invaluable as we look to extend our work in the valuation and compensation sectors. He also has a lot of general practice surveying experience which will also help the Cardiff office cope with its rise in instructions.”
