CBRE Scotland enhances client offering with two new appointments

Eilidh Grant and David Reid

Leading property consultancy CBRE has announced it has strengthened its Advisory & Transaction Services and Retail teams with two new appointments.

Eilidh Grant joins the Retail team as a senior surveyor and will be based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, while David Reid has been appointed as an associate director in the Advisory & Transaction Services team in Glasgow.

Previously based at CWM Retail Property Advisors in central London, Eilidh spent four years in the Lease Advisory team, progressing from graduate to senior surveyor during her time there. Her responsibilities included advising landlord and tenant clients throughout the UK including Standard Life Investments, The Bedford Estates, Thomas Cook, Phase Eight and L’Occitane.

Eilidh’s new role at CBRE will see her acting for a variety of occupiers and landlords across Scotland, with a focus on existing high street and shopping centre instructions. She will be working alongside the existing Retail Scotland team of Kevin Sims, Euan McGonigle and Chris Humphrey.

Joining CBRE from Scottish property consultancy DM Hall, David brings more than ten years’ agency experience to the Advisory & Transaction Services team. Prior to his time at DM Hall, David spent over five years at James Barr, having advised across all sectors of the commercial property market at both firms. He will be dealing with office, industrial and land agency instructions in his new role at CBRE.

Miller Mathieson, head of CBRE Scotland, commented: “CBRE continues to go from strength to strength with these latest appointments enabling us to further enhance our client offering.

“Eilidh’s experience of developing strong client relationships and advising on major deals in the capital make her a valuable addition to the Retail team, whilst David’s decade of extensive experience will be a significant asset to the Advisory & Transaction Services team. We’re thrilled to welcome them and I’m confident both will excel in their new roles.”

Eilidh Grant said: “I am excited to be moving back to Edinburgh and look forward to working on a number of key instructions across the country.”

David Reid added: “As the number one advisory and transactions firm in the world, I am thrilled to be joining CBRE in my new position. I look forward to building relationships with new clients and working across a variety of sectors within a first class team.”
