Health food company puts down ‘routes’ in Leicester

A health food company has relocated to 18 Silver Street in Leicester in a deal secured by Innes England.

The Leicester property agent has let the prime retail unit of 1,500 sq ft to independent health food company Healthy Route. Silver Street is a popular retail haven, which lies off a pedestrianised high street close to the entrance of Highcross in the heart of Leicester city centre.

Gary Trickett, owner of Healthy Route says:”We really wanted this unit on Silver Street because of its excellent location, and its close proximity to Highcross. The demographics of Leicester town centre have altered quite a bit since Highcross arrived, and we wanted to be in a unit that would benefit from the high levels of footfall that it generates. We have dealt with Innes England about another property in Wigston, and we knew that they understood our requirements.

Healthy Route was previously located in a smaller unit elsewhere in the city centre.

Gary adds: “The new unit makes our operation more efficient. We have over thirty years experience, but have recently rebranded and updated our image, and this move is an opportunity to showcase this whilst benefitting from a more sought after location.”

Chris Page of Innes England said: “Silver Street is always popular with retailers, as it is a busy high street, and is popular with Leicester shoppers. I think that Gary will benefit from the fact that the unit was also previously a health food shop. Retail has definitely been challenging in Leicester over the last couple of years, and it is always positive when new retailers move to the area.”
