BDO has strengthened its assurance team in the East Midlands to support its continued growth in this region.

Andrew Mair and Kyla Bellingall (Audit Partners) and Jon Lanes (Senior Manager) will provide senior level experience in audit, not for profit assurance and risk assurance services as part of the building of the BDO teams in Nottingham and Leicester.

Andrew, who lives in the East Midlands, has over 25 years’ experience providing audit and advisory services to a wide range of private and public companies.  He leads the Midland teams in the private equity and the real estate & construction sectors.

Kyla, who lives in Nottingham, specialises in not for profit organisations, working with a wide range of businesses in the education, charity and housing sectors.

Jon is a Senior Manager in the firm’s Risk & Advisory Services practice with more than 10 years’ experience of providing risk management advice, governance training and internal audit expertise. Jon predominantly works with large listed businesses within the retail, manufacturing, real estate and pharmaceutical sectors. Jon also has experience of working with not for profit organisations within the social housing, education and charity sectors.

Richard Rose, Head of BDO in the Midlands said: “We see exciting opportunities for the East Midlands economy and with it opportunities for us to continue to grow. It was a logical step to add to the existing team with individuals who already live in and are part of the local business community. All three will complement and support our ambition to be seen as the leading adviser to ambitious, fast-growth businesses in the East Midlands.”

With offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham, BDO employs more than 350 staff providing audit, tax and advisory services to a range of businesses across the East and West Midlands.
