Phoenix Doors to relocate to Huntingdon

Acting on behalf of Peer Group Plc Barker Storey Matthews Huntingdon office has negotiated one of the largest industrial and office building lettings in Huntingdon in the last twelve months. 18 Glebe Road, comprising 64,983 sq ft, has been let to Masco UKWG for occupation by one of their divisions, Phoenix Doors, who are relocating to the building from two sites in Somersham and Bluntisham.

Alan Matthews of Barker Storey Matthews Huntingdon office said, “This is the largest industrial building in Huntingdon to be leased this year. The building has a high office content and some specialist production areas. We always expected that a manufacturing company would take over the building in order to make full use of the accommodation that it provides. We are delighted to have agreed terms with Masco and wish them every success in their new premises”.

Neil Peck Managing Director of Phoenix Door added, “We began our search for new premises earlier this year and quickly realised that there was very little existing accommodation available. Whilst there are a number of new build options we knew that this would take time and we wanted to move quickly. The building at Glebe Road suits our requirements to a “T” and we are looking forward to taking full occupation of the building following our fit out works later this year”.

Barker Storey Matthews have also been instructed to market Phoenix’s existing industrial unit at Somersham, which comprises 19,012 sq ft and is available on a leasehold or possibly freehold basis.
