Spate of new lettings take industrial estate to 100% occupancy

Acting on behalf of M7 Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield and Jenkins Best have successfully let the remaining vacant space at Rising Sun Industrial Estate, Blaina, taking the established industrial location to 100% occupancy for the first time in recent years.

Successive recent lettings of Units 4 and 5 to Abingdon Flooring, the UK’s largest private carpet manufacturer, along with the letting of Unit 12 to established warehousing and fulfilment company, PPM Logistics Limited, have now taken the estate up to 100% occupancy level.  Comprising a total of 50,000 sq ft across 18 individual units, Rising Sun Industrial Estate is home to a mix of local, regional and national businesses, with the new tenants joining the likes of existing occupiers Paintflow Limited and JUS Insulation Limited.

Chris Yates, Senior Surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s National Logistics team comments:  “We are delighted to assist in taking this established industrial estate to full occupancy.  Our client has demonstrated their proactive and flexible approach in order to accommodate individual occupier needs, which has ultimately paid dividends in delivering functional warehouse space to a range of businesses, from local Welsh companies through to national operators”.

Anthony Jenkins, Director at Jenkins Best adds:  “The recent lettings show the benefits of the on-going infrastructure improvements to the area which in turn has helped us in attracting businesses that are looking to expand or relocate in the region”.

Phil Egan, Assistant Asset Manager at M7 Real Estate commented: “It is fantastic to see a 30% increase in occupancy since May reflecting the growing strength of well-located assets along the Heads of the Valleys. The proactive marketing and hard work securing these lettings by Cushman & Wakefield and Jenkins Best has achieved a superb result.”

Rising Sun Industrial Estate forms part of a wider (predominantly) industrial portfolio which is asset managed by M7 Real Estate, comprising 38 estates across South Wales and totalling circa 900,000 sq ft of accommodation.
