National awards and continued growth for Nottingham architect aces

An architecture firm based in Nottingham is achieving huge success after scooping several national awards, gaining chartered status and enjoying rapid growth in 2016.

Acres Architecture, based in West Bridgford, Nottingham, received Full Service Architecture Firm of the Year and Best UK Domestic Residential Project for a build project in Gamston, Nottinghamshire.

Both awards came from BUILD magazine, who established the awards to recognise the amazing work done by designers, artists and visionaries in the UK.

The awards didn’t stop there, with further recognition coming from Corporate Live Wire who awarded Acres Architecture, Excellence in Full Service Architecture – UK 2016.

All the awards arrived in the same year that Acres Architecture also gained Chartered Practice Status by the Royal Institute of British Architects and have been added to the RIBA’s Chartered Practice List. Both are professional bodies who provide, regulate and maintain the high standard of service and quality of architects in the UK and overseas.

With so much recognition coming to the firm this year alone, the demand for work has increased and so has the company’s growth. Three new team members have been recruited already, with continued growth planned later this year and into 2017.

Director and founder Edward Acres, is delighted with how 2016 is developing for his company,

“2016 has been a fantastic year for Acres Architecture so far. We aim to provide the highest quality design process possible, while also adding in so much more than the basics you will get from other practices.  Clients trust us, which is why we are continually challenged with ever increasing complex and diverse projects.

Overall we do not anticipate our pace slowing down. We are already considering a move to larger offices, due to our ever increasing staff base, and we have big plans for the practice in 2017”.
