Acuity Legal takes top honours at prestigious property awards

Acuity Legal, a leading commercial law firm has scooped a top prize being named ‘Property Law Firm of the Year’ at the prestigious annual Insider Wales Property Awards 2016 held at Cardiff’s City Hall in Cardiff on 14 June 2016.

Acuity has advised on £1.3bn worth of property transactions in Wales over the last year, in sectors including housing, commercial space, energy and leisure.

Judges were impressed by the firm’s involvement in “landmark” schemes and its variety of work.

The award recognises law firms with a specialism in commercial property who have made a big impact on the property industry in Wales over the last year.

Acuity was also involved in the ‘Property Deal of the Year Award’, won by its client Rightacres Property for the agreement to lease BBC Cymru Wales its new 150,000 square foot broadcasting headquarters at Central Square in Cardiff. The BBC’s decision triggered a £400m commitment by Legal & General to develop the area.

Acuity played a key role in the deal, which one judge described as “the deal of the decade”.
