New tenant signs up at Castlebridge, Cardiff

Ashville, advised by Savills and JLL, has let space at Castlebridge in Cardiff to Hydrock Consultants Limited.

The multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy and specialist land remediation contracting business has taken a new 10-year lease on the first floor office space totalling 2,400 sq ft (223 sq m). An annual rent of £34,800 has been agreed.

Located in the centre of Cardiff on Cowbridge Road East and opposite Sophia Gardens, Castlebridge is five minutes from Cardiff Central Railway Station and close to the main shopping district. Recently a programme of works has taken place to refurbish the office space, shower facilities, common areas, cycle storage and courtyard area. Other occupiers include Target Group, RSPB, Office Angels, Kagool and Powys LHB.

Martin Watkins, Technical Director for Hydrock in Cardiff, says: “We are delighted to relocate to Castlebridge. Our business across South Wales has grown substantially in the last 12 months and this office space, so close to the city centre, is a perfect fit for our growing team as it provides a high quality environment with the opportunity for us to create collaborative working and meeting space.”

Gary Carver, director of business space at Savills Cardiff, comments: “We’re very pleased with this new letting at Castlebridge, which has been refurbished to create a vibrant office hub, with bright open plan offices. We now only have four suites remaining within Castlebridge.”

Rhydian Morris, director of JLL added “This latest letting to Hydrock follows a number of other new tenants recently locating to the Castlebridge scheme, which is a testament to the high quality office refurbishment and central location. The additional facilities available, such as the extensive bike parking and showers have also had a positive impact on the marketing.”

Savills and joint agents JLL are marketing the remaining 7,740 sq ft (719 sq m) of office space available in suite ranging from 500 sq ft (46 sq m) up to 2,598 sq ft (241 sq m).
