Leading technology firm makes move to Maxim

One of the UK’s sector leaders in office convergence technology, Document Data Group, has opened its new showroom at Maxim Office Park, marking a key commercial move for the business.

Document Data Group, which specialises in multi-functional photocopiers, managed print services and document management, has taken a 2,000 sq ft unit on the second floor of Maxim 1.

The company has used the space at Maxim to create a new showroom facility, a boardroom, three executive offices, and an open plan sales area for the Group’s rapidly-expanding sales force. The move will further increasing its profile in Scotland following three years of record sales, increased profits and a significantly strengthened management team.

David Forsyth, managing director of Document Data Group, said: “For a company which has clients the length and breadth of the UK, Maxim Office Park is ideally placed on the M8 corridor and just 30 minutes from Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports.

The company’s decision to expand and open at Maxim Office Park, on the back of a surge in orders from clients, will provide it with what Justin Longmuir, operations director, calls the “perfect scenario, the place to be”.

He said: “It is a fantastic park, very modern and futuristic. Continual re-investment in the Group over recent years now allows us to move into this state-of-the-art, world class facility.”

Mr Longmuir said: “We will be delighted to bring suppliers and customers to our new home. It will be the face – the shop window – of Document Data Group.

“Initially we occupy just under 2000 sq ft, but that will expand very quickly to 3000 sq ft and there is capacity within the building to extend to 9000 sq ft, which is not out with the bounds of possibility given our current rate of growth.”

Document Data Group also has an office in Dunfermline, covering the east of Scotland. The company was a finalist in last year’s Small Business Lanarkshire awards and has attracted a portfolio of high-profile clients, including the Lawn Tennis Association, which retained its services for the Davis Cup competition.

Craig Ritchie from Maxim Office Park said: “Document Data Group is an ambitious and fast-growing business so it’s fantastic that the management team selected Maxim Office Park as the best place to expand its operations and grow its already thriving client list.”

Cushman & Wakefield and Ryden represented Maxim Office Park and Document Data Group was unrepresented.
