A leading Swansea Law firm has donated £10,000 to a children’s charity in the city.
JCP Solicitors chose Friends of Stepping Stones as one of their charities of the year for 2015/2016 and the money will help to support pre-school children who have an emerging or diagnosed disability.
Friends of Stepping Stones is run by volunteers who are committed to raising funds for the Killay-based learning and activity centre, Stepping Stones.
JCP Director Richard Howells said: “Friends of Stepping Stones enables this very deserving charity to carry out their valuable work with children and families in Swansea.
“We are very pleased to lend our support to the group as part of our ongoing commitment to playing an active role in the South and West Wales communities that we are part of.”
Lindsay Glover, Treasurer from Friends of Stepping Stones, said: “Stepping Stones provides a lifeline for families in Swansea and generous donations like this one from JCP helps the group extend their good work to more people who need support, so we are very grateful to JCP for making Friends of Stepping Stones a priority.”
JCP organises regular charity activities, supporting Wales Air Ambulance, Tenovus and Headway over the years. Their other charity of the year for their financial year ending 31 March 2016 was the Pembrokeshire based Paul Sartori Foundation.
