A growing West Midlands independent IT company is on track to grow its operations in Europe and turnover to over £1 million – having expanded at its new office in Solihull.

Central IT Support was started out as a computer shop on Hagley Road in Birmingham by owner Kaveh Zanjani and served small and medium sized businesses in the local area.

The company moved into new offices at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Blythe Valley Innovation Centre last year and has since established itself as one of the UK’s leading providers of hardware and software services to the world’s largest fast food restaurant Subway.

Central IT Support provides Point of Sale (POS) hardware systems and on-going IT support to more than 1,000 Subway stores in the UK and is on track to support stores all over Europe providing remote support from its Innovation Centre base

Kaveh said: “The business started out with us selling computers and making repairs to laptop motherboards, and gradually developed to providing IT support to small and medium size businesses.

“After opening our Subway franchise we identified an opportunity to offer our services and we’re now the only provider of HP POS hardware systems to Subway franchisees in the UK.

“As the business has grown it made sense to move to an office location to focus on the IT services to hospitality and retail sector, we’re delighted with the success we’ve achieved since opening at the Innovation Centre.

“We’ve grown the business by around 30 per cent in each of the last two years and we are on course to reach a turnover of over £1 million this year.”

Central IT Support gained HP Business Partner status in 2016 and is expecting to add up to four new staff to its team over the next 12 months.

Mark Homer, centre manager at the University of Warwick Science Park Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, added: “Kaveh’s decision to move to the centre and focus solely on IT support for businesses has proved to be extremely successful.

“The company, like many of our tenants, has started off with a small base and has a carefully planned growth strategy for the years to come and we look forward to helping the company achieve its targets.”
