Double deal as Remark and Opals expand in Peterborough

Remark Group has become the first company to take occupation on Kingston Park, one of Peterborough’s newest industrial parks, following the construction of purpose-built premises. Since taking the new unit, Barker Storey Matthews Peterborough office has arranged the sale of Remarks former premises on Aston Business Park to infrastructure service providers Opals Group.

Remark Group, who are a major provider of Business Technologies, specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of electrical, data, audio visual and IT services, are now situated at a prime location at the entrance to the Kingston Park development scheme. The newly constructed unit comprises two-storey offices with glazed frontage overlooking the lake, and a larger warehouse space. Remark’s move to new premises is as a direct result of a period of continuous growth and expansion.

Opals Group, who have acquired Remark’s former units on Aston Business Park, design, build, manage and maintain infrastructure for telecommunications, energy, construction and defence services throughout the UK and Europe. Similarly to Remark, the acquisition of these new premises was necessary for Opals ongoing expansion plans.

Sam Hodge, Managing Director of Opals Group commented “Our business has grown considerably over the past few years and we have quite simply outgrown our old space – we previously operated two sites and the acquisition of our new premises allows us to move everyone into one location and offer new and improved facilities to our people and clients”.
